Dana Commercial Vehicle Systems Division has released eight new steer axle kingpin service kits that include new
“PRE-SIZED” kingpin bushings. These kits cover single and dual draw key axle models and include the option of
“Garlock DX” or “Bronze” pre-sized bushings. All of the service kits contain the patented (No. 6,113,118) compressible
kingpin inserts, which are designed to maximize bushing life in lubrication sensitive or contaminated environments. Using
these new service kits with pre-sized bushings eliminates the need to dimensionally ream knuckle bushings at installation.
In October 2002 Dana will only offer kingpin service kits with “pre-sized” bushings in them. All other kits will be
discontinued.
NOTE: The NEW and IMPROVED 328344-Kingpin kit will replace Dana kit 823078. Kit 328344 is available and should be
ordered now!
