Axle Housings
New Tag-USA Assembled Only
1 The word “Housing” is stamped under the word “Spec” to identify the component as an axle housing.
2 The production or service part number of the axle housing. Refer to this number for the axle housing
replacement.
3 The serial number assigned at the producing plant for internal use only.
Note:This serial number cannot be used to help identify any other axle components on the vehicle. Refer to
the “Spec” number or “Serial” number located on the drive axle.
4 Country of origin.
Note: Axle housings produced offshore and assembled or modified in the USA wIll have (2) identification
tags attached to the housing as shown above. Housings produced in the USA will only have one tag.
