Issue Description:
Dana has discontinued the manufacturing the “original” design carrier & cap parts shown below. As
outline in
Dana bulletin abib-0801 , all current D40K family production carriers were changed in design
beginning June 16, 2008. The inventory of the old style carrier & caps are being used up exclusively thru
service and when finally depleted these kits and all OLD STYLE Service carriers are no longer available
from Dana. When the customers require a replacement carrier & cap they will need to order a complete
replacement service carrier. The older carrier & caps and new design carrier & caps are not
interchangeable without using a multitude of other parts located in the power divider section, which would
be cost prohibitive for customers. The above mentioned bulletin also contains a handy service carrier
cross reference listing showing the super session of the old service carrier part numbers to new design
