Shown below in Chart-1 is the past history on D404 shift fork components for straight air lockout configurations. The
reverse air lockout parts for the D404 family axles are unique in their design as shown in Chart-2. In August and
September 1996, Navistar stopped using the “Reverse Air Lockout” option on D404 family axles used in their production
vehicles. Chart-3 will show which parts you should order based on the power divider & shift fork combination you currently
have for all straight air configurations.
