CALIBRATION

Portable Plus balances are calibrated
before shipment, however, calibration
can be influenced by factors such as:

Variations in the earths gravitational
field at different latitudes of the world.

Rough handling.

Changes in work environment.

Height above sea level.

Calibration should be performed before
using the balance to ensure accurate
weighing.

Portable Plus

balances can be calibrated

in two ways:

Span Calibration

Span Calibration

Span Calibration

Span Calibration

Span Calibration resets the balance’s
weighing range by checking 2 points:
zero and a weight value within the bal-
ance’s range.

Linearity Calibration

Linearity Calibration

Linearity Calibration

Linearity Calibration

Linearity Calibration resets the
balance’s weighing range by checking 3
points; zero and two different weight
values within the balance’s range. This
also helps minimize deviations between
actual and displayed weights throughout
the range.

A 200 g calibration weight is supplied
with the balance for performing Span
Calibration. Linearity calibration requires
an additional 100 g weight which is avail-
able as an accessory.
