This is Groove # 1
1. Unscrew the carb tops. Disconnect throttle cables and remove the slides. Remove needle retainers and stock
needles(Fig.A).
2. Install Dynojet needles on groove #4 for applications below 5000 feet, groove #3 for above 5000 feet. The Dynojet
washers are for half step adjustments and do not need to be installed at this time.
3. Remove stock main jets and replace with Dynojet main jets provided. Use the DXP270 with the stock exhaust. Use
the DXP280 with an aftermarket exhaust. The DXP340 is for use with modified motors. Be sure that the jets you are
changing are the main jets.
4. Locate the Air Screws (Fig.C). Using a flat blade screwdriver, turn the screws clockwise until it seats, then turn out
2.5 turns .
