8.2.1 I
NTRODUCTION
When you click the Servers Manager button, the Playout Servers Manager window
is displayed in the Work area, allowing you to define each physical machine to be
used for playout.

To create and configure a playout server, complete the following fields and then
click on the Create button.
The playout server name is added to the list on the left side of the window and
“PCX” then “Channel 1” appear underneath, which corresponds to the playout
channel.
Field
Description
Label
Name you give to the playout server, as it will appear in
the list.
Playout Group
List of predefined playout groups. The GLOBAL option
makes the playout server available from all Playout
Organizer workstations.
IP Address
IP address of the playout server.
Port (default = 4021) Port used for the playout.
Description
Optional text to describe the playout server.
Card1 / 2 / 3
Type of card used. Several cards could be used but it is
not advisable.
