EDGE GUiDE

The edge guide can be used in either of the guide rails.

This attachment can be used as a push stick or as an edge

guide/fence. When used as a push stick, there is no need to lock

it in the rails with the fence lock lever.

The guide can be used in different angles. To adjust the angle

loosen the wing screw on the guide and rotate the head into the

desired position.

The edge guide can be locked in place turning the fence lock

lever. Actuating this will prevent the guide sliding in the rail.

USE

GETTinG STaRTED

Thank you for purchasing the Dremel Moto-Saw. The Moto-Saw is

a compact and very easy to use 2-in-1 scroll saw. It can be used

either in stationary mode, when the tool is docked in its base or in

hand-held mode. This tool is intended to perform precise straight

and curved cuts in different materials including soft wood, hard

wood, composite boards, laminate, PVC or soft sheet metal using

the applicable accessories recommended by Dremel.

Using the Moto-Saw in stationary mode gives you the freedom to

cut different materials with both hands holding your work piece.

In this mode you can complete different hobby or wood working

projects precise and easily.

Using the Moto-Saw in hand-held mode is advisory when the work

piece is too big or fixed and therefore cannot be put onto the

base. Typical hand-held operation includes coping work or cutting

smaller pieces of materials. In hand-held mode the Moto-Saw

functions as a motorised coping/fret saw.

STaTiOnaRY MODE

1. Make sure the base is securely attached to a flat work

surface with the help of the clamps provided.

The base can be permanently secured to a work bench with

regular screws through the 2 holes located on the top of the

base. PICTURE 1

2. DO NOT sit or lean on the base. The base is meant to

support the materials being cut.

3. Once the base is secured, dock the Moto-Saw in it: first

feed the cable through the base’s hole and then simply click

the unit into the base. The Moto-Saw is securely docked,

when the hand-held unit and the stationary base are flush.

PICTURE 2-4

4. Only use the Dremel Moto-Saw in the base. Other electric

power tools are not intended to be used with the base.

5. For a clean work environment and for better line of sight,

attach a vacuum cleaner to the dust port.

6. Once your saw blade is inserted as per the user guide, the

tool is ready for operation. PICTURE 5-9

7. Start the tool and let the tool come to the right speed before

contacting the work piece. DO NOT turn the switch “ON” and

“OFF” while the tool is under load.

8. Press down the Hold-Down Foot onto your work piece to

prevent it from bouncing. To minimise vibration hold your work

piece with two hands close to the saw blade.
