6. Set up
WARNING
Never use any screws other than those specified by
the manufacturer, or the engine can get loose, result-
ing in a hazardous event.
IMPORTANT
Tighten the screws gradually by turns.
MOUNTING ENGINE
1. Install the engine to the shaft tube assy so that the
cylinder head and the stop switch may come on the
same side.
2. Using attached four bolts,
secure the connection
firmly with equal force
(Torque: 2 ~ 2.9 N.m.).
SUSPENSION POINT
NOTE
Be the SUSPENSION POINT in
the location of the arrow mark.
INSTALLING HANDLE
NOTE
The handle is put during the arrow mark.
• Mount the handle to the shaft tube assy
and suspension point
it at a location that is
comfortable to you.
INSTALLING HANDLE
handles equally. Retighten the bolts.
2. Put the handle assembly into the bracket and put the
upper cap over it. Tighten the cap securely.
NOTE
Be the bracket in the
location of the arrow
mark.

3. Connect throttle wire with carburetor. Insert the cable
to the end of adjuster fix the throttle cable by tighten-
ing M3 screw. (Tightening torque: 0.4 ~ 0.8 N.m.)
4. Make sure the ‘STOPPER-PLATE’ of carburetor moves
to contact with ‘IDLE SPEED ADJUSTER’ and the
‘SWING-ARM’ of carburetor moves to contact with
‘FULL ON STOPPER’ by gripping throttle trigger.
CONNECTING SWITCH WIRES
• Connect the switch wires between the engine and the
main unit. Pair the wires of the same color.
HIP PAD
• Wrap the hip pad around the shaft tube as shown in
the figure, and fasten the hooks.
ANGLE TRANSMISSION
WARNING
The blade has very sharp edges. Be sure to use pro-
tective gloves whenever handling it.
1. Remove the fastening screw(long) and the lock
screw(short) from the angle transmission.
2. While aligning the locking holes, install the angle trans-
mission assembly to the shaft tube assy.
3. While aligning the locking holes, install the bracket.
4. Align the locking holes and screw in the lock screw to
the bottom by hand, then secure it with the wrench
provided. Do not tighten up the lock screw with the
holes out of alignment, or the angle transmission can
be damaged.
NOTE
If the locking screw is tightened up with the holes out of
alignment, the angle transmission may be damaged.
5. Fasten the angle transmission fastening screw.
INSTALLING CUTTING ATTACHMENT GUARD
• Attach the cutting attachment guard with the bolts
combined to the shaft tube assy.
CONNECTING THROTTLE WIRE
1. Remove the air cleaner cover.
2. Loose the M3 screw.
