Recording adjustments and other operations are
performed from the recording components. For details,
refer to the operation instructions for those components.

Before you begin, make sure you have connected all
components properly.

• It is not possible to record signals input through the DIGITAL

INPUT jacks.

• Do a test recording before you start an actual recording.
• The volume, speaker level, and sound field program settings do

not affect the recorded material.

Turn on the power of this unit and all
connected components.

Press INPUT, then rotate VOLUME/SELECT
within 5 seconds (or press an input selector
button on the remote control) to select the
source component (input source) you want
to record from, such as “VIDEO 1”,
“DTV/CBL”, or “DVD/CD” (see page 18)
.

Start playback (or select a broadcast station)
on the source component.

Start recording on the recording component.

• When this unit is set in the standby mode, you cannot record

between other components connected to this unit.

• The VCR IN signal is not output from the VCR OUT jacks.
• Check the copyright laws in your country to record from

records, CDs, radio, etc. Recording of copyrighted material may
infringe copyright laws.
