Water and dirt-repellent coating
(option)
The front side windows and/or door
mirrors are treated with a coating
which improves the view in poor
weather conditions. For informa-
tion on maintenance, see page 171.
Rearview and door mirrors
In certain weather conditions, the function of
the dirt-repellent coating is improved if the
door mirror defrosters are used, see page 70.
Heat the door mirrors:
• If they are covered with ice or snow.
• In heavy rain and dirty road conditions.
• If they are misted.
IMPORTANT
Do not use a metal ice scraper to remove
ice from the windows. The water and dirt-
repellent coating could be damaged. Use
the defroster to remove ice from the mirrors.
An ice scraper could scratch the mirror
glass!
