Recording your personal Outgoing Message (ogm)
1. Press answer to turn the answering system ON.
2. Press and hold ogm until you hear a short
tone.
3. After the message counter LED displays, ‘
rE
.’
release ogm. Record your message by speaking
within 30cm of the base microphone.
4. When you finish recording your message, press
ogm or
again. A tone sounds. Your
message plays back for your review, then the answering machine goes to
standby.
The ring switch sets your answering system to answer after four or eight rings.
Your DS73 answering device has a default ring time of four. However you have
the option to select 8 as well.
To select the ring time to eight, press ring button continuously until the desired
ring time shows on the LED display.
In the TS (Toll Saver) mode, if you have new
messages, the answering system answers after two
rings. If there are no new messages, the system
answers after four rings. This way, when you call
long distance to check your messages, and have
no messages, you can hang up after the second
ring to save a charge.
