1. Press the FLASH key, then select Settings.
2. Select Zero Dial Delay.
3. Enter the desired setting.
0 = Off
1 = On (default)
4. Press the FLASH key.
View Phone Number
1 Press the FLASH key, then select Settings.
2. Select MIN. The phone number of the unit will display.
Voice Privacy
This option allows additional security via encryption on the voice channel. Sometimes your
service provider will automatically enable this option on their network. If you enable this
feature and the network already has it enabled or does not allow voice privacy, you will receive
no confirmation on the SX4P. To determine if the network you are connected to allows this fea-
ture or automatically has this enabled, contact your service provider.
1. Press the FLASH key, then select Settings.
2. Select Voice Prv.
3. Enter the desired setting.
0 = On
1 = Off (default)
4. Press the FLASH key.
Voice Privacy Alert
When this option is turned on, a notification tone will sound a few seconds after a call is
connected if Voice Privacy has been activated. Turning this option off will not turn off Voice
Privacy.
1. Press the FLASH key, then select Settings.
2. Select Voice Prv Alert.
3. Enter the desired setting.
0 = On
1 = Off (default)
4. Press the FLASH key.
MT Call Bearer
The SX4P can be set to support Voice (default setting), Circuit Switched Fax, and Circuit
Switched Data Calls. Only one of these can be supported at a time on the unit.
1. Press the FLASH key, to enter User Menu.
2. Select Settings and press the FLASH key
3. Use the arrow up key to until Call Bearer is displayed.
4. Enter the desired setting.
0 = Circuit Switched Data
1 = Circuit Switched Fax
2 = Voice (default)
4. Press the FLASH key, then lift the handset to program the setting to the phone.
NOTE: In order for the settings to take effect, the user MUST lift the handset to permanently pro-
gram the setting to the phone. The LCD window will show the word ‘PROGRAMMING’, when
successful.
