O HEAR THE DIALLING TONE WHEN SENDING A DOCUMENT
1. Insert the document in the automatic document feeder
(ADF).
The display shows on the top line:
DOCUMENT READY
and on the bottom line, the default contrast value: NOR-
MAL.
The initial resolution value is: " " (standard).
If you want, change the contrast and resolution values
as described previously.

2. To hear the dialling tones, press the key:
The display shows:
ON LINE
and the length of the transmission in minutes and sec-
onds in the top right-hand corner.
3. To dial the number of the correspondent to whom you
wish to send the document, press the keys:

4. As soon as you hear the tone of your correspondent’s
fax machine, press the key:
Transmission is started. The message "CONNECTING"
appears on the display.

2. Dial the number of the person to whom you want to
send the document.
3. To start dialling, press the key:
4. As soon as you hear your correspondent’s fax tone,
keep pressed for more than 1.5 seconds the key:
In either case, if the document is sent correctly, once
this operation has been completed, the display will show
the message "TX COMPLETED" for a moment.

O SEND A DOCUMENT WITH THE HANDSET OF THE FAX
MACHINE RAISED
1. Insert the document in the automatic document feeder
(ADF).
The display shows on the top line:
DOCUMENT READY
and on the bottom line, the default contrast value: "NOR-
MAL".

If you want, change the contrast and resolution values
as described previously.
2. Lift the handset of the fax machine to engage the line.
The display shows:
ON LINE
and the length of the transmission in minutes and sec-
onds in the top right-hand corner.
3. To dial the number of the correspondent to whom you
wish to send the document, press the keys:

If your correspondent’s fax machine is set up for auto-
matic reception , you will hear the fax machine sig-
nal .
If it is set up for manual reception , the correspondent
himself will answer so you can ask him to press the
start key on his fax machine, after which you will hear
the fax machine signal .
4. To start sending, press the key:
The message "CONNECTING" appears on the dis-
play.
If the document is sent correctly, once this operation has
been completed, the display will show the message "TX
COMPLETED" for a moment.
A
UTOMATIC REDIAL
If no connection is established due to line errors or because
the correspondent’s line is busy, the fax machine
automati-
cally redials the number of times laid down by the legislation
in your country.
However,
if transmission has been started from the cord-
less phone, the automatic redialling function will not
be performed
: in this case, the fax machine shows the mes-
sage "TX ERROR" and the "ERROR" indicator LED " "
lights up. To turn the indicator LED off and clear the message
from the display, press the key.

O SEND A DOCUMENT TO SEVERAL CORRESPONDENTS
The fax machine's memory allows you to send a document
(even at a preset time: "Delayed transmission") to several
correspondents (max. 10): "Broadcast transmission". See
