MENU > GPS Info
Your vmax361 uses GPS (Global Positioning
Satellite) technology to show you exactly
where you are in relation to its stored
maps. In some areas, the GPS signal may
vary in strength. Too few signals can affect
the accuracy and even slow the update
time of your Navigation screen. The ‘GPS
Info’ screen tells you this and more.
1. Press >
.
2. The ‘GPS Info’ screen appears
displaying the following information:
• UTC / LOCAL - Current universal and
local date and time. (vmax361
receives date & time through GPS
signals).
• LAT/LON - Shows exactly “WHERE
YOU ARE”
in
earth
(latitude/longitude) coordinates.
• ALT (Altitude) – Approximately many
feet above sea level your unit is.
(This may not be accurate in all
locations)
• SPD (Speed) - Your present traveling
speed.
3. GPS Signal Strength Meters are located
at the bottom of screen. Each meter
represents a GPS Satellite and its
numerical signal strength, also indicated
by a color: GREEN = Strong Signal;
YELLOW = Good Signal; RED = Poor
Signal; WHITE = No Signal.
NOTE: The overall signal quality is
represented through the color of the “Your
Vehicle” icon on the Navigation screen.
