Pictmotion
Pictmotion gives you a much more creative,
more entertaining way to share the joy of
photography. Just select a range of images
and movies, pick a visual style, then choose
from one of 5 soundtracks preinstalled in the
camera or load new ones to suit your images*.
The camera then automatically blends all the
elements to produce a Pictmotion movie,
with pace and transitions determined by your
choice of music and style ready for viewing
anywhere on the ample LCD.

Share the view, with a
wide-angle LCD
The COOLPIX S6 and S5 feature a large
3.0-inch and 2.5-inch LCD respectively, making
them great for viewing images anywhere. And
because they both offer an impressively wide
viewing angle of 170 degrees, it’s easy for
everyone to see and enjoy Pictmotion movies
and images.
All-round versatility
More than being easy on the eye, the COOLPIX
S6 and S5 are exceptionally easy to use. A
new Rotary multi selector can be operated
with a circular scrolling action to enable speedy
image browsing and a range of other buttons
contribute to a more intuitive user experience.
There’s also an on-screen icon that tracks
Rotary multi selector scrolling to simplify
selection of various features, such as the
Calendar function that sorts images according
to date.
Auto image rotation
The COOLPIX S6 and S5 can
even detect when images have
been taken with the camera
held vertically, automatically
rotating such shots to suit in-
camera LCD playback.
D-Lighting
It’s so easy to improve images that are underexposed
or have too much backlight. Just select Nikon’s unique
D-Lighting to create a copy of the shot automatically, with
light and detail added as necessary and well-exposed
areas left exactly the way they were.
Face-priority AF
Rely on satisfyingly sharp portraits more of the time.
Face-priority AF* automatically fi nds and focuses on
people’s faces to produce clearer shots, no matter where
the subject is located in the frame.
* Face recognition capability may be limited in some shooting situations.
In-Camera Red-Eye Fix
Shoot fl attering fl ash pictures without the annoying
red-eye effect. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix can cleverly
detect red eyes in the picture, then compensate for them
automatically in-camera.
