■ Offline mode

To start up the phone without the SIM card, accept
Start up phone without SIM card?. Use those
features of the phone that do not require the SIM
card.

In offline mode, calls may be possible to the official
emergency numbers programmed into your device.

■ Keypad lock

Select Menu and press * quickly to lock the keypad to
prevent accidental keypresses. To answer a call when
the keyguard is on, press the call key. When you end
or reject the call, the keypad remains locked. To
unlock, select Unlock and press * quickly.

Select Menu > Settings > Phone > Automatic
keyguard > On to set the keypad to lock
automatically after a preset time delay when the
phone is in the standby mode.
