3. Frame your subject using the LCD screen or viewfinder.
4. Align the Focus mark or the optical viewfinder centre on the subject
you want to capture. Press the Shutter button halfway to set the
exposure and focus. The camera automatically detects the subject and
highlights the auto focus mark in blue from one of the five available
focus points, which it will use to determine the focus. The Focus
LED remains steady, indicating the camera focus is locked on the
subject.
NOTE:
• Make sure to use slow shutter speeds when the environment is too dark.
• The icon
will appear when the shutter speed is slow, which reminds you
to hold the camera steady or use a tripod.
• The LCD screen will show you the aperture value and the shutter speed at
which you take the picture.
• The camera highlights the aperture value in red if the shutter speed is not
suitable for taking a picture. If this happens, release your finger and adjust
the aperture value by pressing Left/Right button. Recompose the scene
and press the Shutter button halfway to reset the focus.
• When the Focus LED blinks and the red focus mark appears on the LCD
screen (when it is on), there is difficulty in focusing the subject. Release
the Shutter button, recompose the scene and press the Shutter button
halfway to reset the focus.
5. Hold the camera steady. Press the Shutter button completely down
to take a picture.
To avoid blurry pictures, place the camera on a flat, steady surface or
use a tripod. We recommend the user to use a tripod to keep the camera
steady for slow shutter speeds.
