• one free Ethernet connector on the router

network as described in Configuration A before

• a PC with a free Ethernet connector.
Note: If you don’t have a free Ethernet
connector on your PC you will have to buy and
install an extra Ethernet card.

requires a special crossed network

* Ethernet : Ethernet is a well-established local area networking standard, and is incorporated into (or
available) for most computers.
* Router : A device that does the interconnecting of networks. Its job is to coordinate and filter
traffic between the networks. (E.g. your home network and the Internet.)
