There are three ways to find the tape on which a program was
recorded.
• Tape Number: This allows you to review all the programs on
each tape you have recorded with this VCR. Follow the steps on
this page.
• Date: This is useful if you remember when the desired program
was recorded. To see all the programs recorded on a certain date,
follow the steps on page 69.
• Category: This is useful if you remember the category under
which you filed the program. To see all the programs in a specific
category, follow the steps on page 70.
Sorting by Tape Number

Press the VCR button, then press the MENU button.
Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select TAPE
MANAGER, then press the OK/STATUS button.

Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select FIND
TITLE, then press the OK/STATUS button.

Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select BY TAPE
NO., then press the OK/STATUS button.

The program titles are sorted by the tape number, with the highest tape number first. Press the
PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select the program title you want, then press the OK/STATUS
button.
• If the tape currently in the VCR is the required tape: The VCR searches and starts playback when the selected
program is located.
• If the tape currently in the VCR is not the required tape: "INSERT TAPE 0030" (for example) appears on the
screen and the current tape is ejected. Insert the correct tape. The VCR searches the correct tape and starts
playback when the selected program is located.
• If no cassette is in the VCR: "INSERT TAPE 0030" (for example) appears. Insert the correct tape. The VCR
searches the correct tape and starts playback automatically when the selected program is located.
• If you are asked to insert a different
tape and you put in the wrong tape,
it will be ejected. Insert the requested
tape. Or, press the MENU button to
cancel the Tape Manager request.
