Troubleshooting
Before you call service
Check Action
Unit Does Not Operate
Does the display light?
Check if the Power Switch is turned ON
and if the power plug is inserted into the
outlet.
Does the Energy saver key flash (or light)
and displays are turned OFF?

Press Energy saver key on control panel.
Perform actions in accordance with each
message.
Do any of the U## codes and messages
appear on the display?
(U0, U4, U10, U12, U13....etc.,)
Add Staples (See page 52)
Remove all jammed staples. (See page 54) Does the Add Staples indicator and
message appear on the display?
Add paper. (See page 55)
Does the Add Paper indicator and
message appear on the display? (

Remove misfed paper. (See page 58)
Does paper misfeed indicator and message
appear on the display? (
c / I / F )
Turn copier power switch off, then back on.
If error code comes back again, call
service.
Does any of the E#-## indicator and
message appear on the display?
