11. 04.13 Needle thread tension release
Requirement
With the presser foot raised, both of the tension discs must be at least
0.5 mm apart.
The clearance of 0.5 mm is a minimum and can increase to more than 1 mm
when using thick threads.
● Align pressure plate 1 behind tension carrier plate 2 in accordance with the requirement.
If the tension is correct, release pin
3 must not be under pressure.
