Activate/deactivate alarm timer

In the standby mode, press SLEEP/TIMER
repeatedly.
If timer is activated,

is displayed.
If timer is deactivated,

disappears on
the display.
Tip
Alarm timer is not available when the source is

set as “ MP3 LINK ” or “ AUX ”.
If CD/USB/iPod/iPhone source is selected but no

disc is placed or no USB/iPod/iPhone connected,
the system switches to FM automatically.
Set the sleep timer
This apparatus can switch to standby
automatically after a set period.

When the apparatus is turned on, press
SLEEP/TIMER repeatedly to select a
preset period (in minutes).
When sleep timer is activated,

displayed.
To deactivate sleep timer

Press
SLEEP/TIMER repeatedly until [SLE
OFF] is displayed.
Listen to an audio device
You can listen to an audio device through this
apparatus.

Ensure the external audio device
is connected to this apparatus (see
“Connect” > “Connect an external audio
device”).

Press
MP3 LINK/AUX repeatedly to select
the audio input through the MP3-LINK
socket or AUX IN ( L and R ) sockets.

Start to play the device (see the device
user manual).

activate the demonstration mode.

Set alarm timer
This unit can be used as an alarm clock. You can
select CD, iPod/iPhone, FM or USB as alarm source.
Note
Ensure that you have set the clock correctly.

In standby mode, press and hold SLEEP/
TIMER until [SET TIMER] (set timer)
scrolls on the display.

Press
SOURCE repeatedly to select a
source: CD, FM, USB, iPod/iPhone or
iPod/iPhone playlist.
If iPod/iPhone playlist is selected as

alarm source, you need create a playlist
called “PHILIPS” in your iPod/iPhone.
If no playlist called “PHILIPS” is
•
created in the iPod/iPhone or no
track is stored in the playlist, the unit
switches to iPod/iPhone alarm source.

SLEEP/TIMER to conÀ rm.
The hour digits are displayed and begin

to blink.

VOL +/- repeatedly to set hour, and
then press SLEEP/TIMER again.
The minute digits are displayed and
