Taking Pictures
Setting the Shooting Functions
Capture mode is for taking pictures and playback mode is for playing
back or erasing images.
• Press the Playback button to switch from Capture mode to Playback mode.
• Press the Playback button or press the shutter release button halfway
to switch from Playback mode to Capture mode.
Capture modes are selected by displaying the virtual mode dial.
There are 6 different Capture modes.

Press the four-way controller (23)
in Capture mode.
The virtual mode dial appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select a mode.
The selected Capture mode icon will be
displayed magnified.
When selecting [Picture Mode] or [Digital Filter], press the four-way
controller (5) again for more settings. See page 58 for more details

Press the OK button.
The icon for the selected Capture mode appears and the camera is
ready to take pictures.
