Convenient functions
Preparation
≥Connect an active subwoofer (not included). See below for
connection.
≥Place the subwoofer as close as possible to the front center.
[Adjusting\the\bass]
Press [SHIFT] r[SUBWOOFER].
Each time you press the buttons:
SUB W LOW (factory preset)
>SUB W MID>SUB W MAX

Adjust the volume on the subwoofer to suit your preference.
[Note]
When using headphones, the subwoofer should be switched off.
Press [MUTING].
Volume is reduced to minimum.
To cancel
Press [MUTING] again or reduce the volume to minimum (– – dB),
then raise it to the required level.
Muting is also canceled when you switch the unit to standby.
Press [SHIFT] r[DISPLAY] until the display
you want appears.
Each time you press the buttons:
A) PS
§ (The station name appears.)

l PTY § (The program type appears. See below.)

l CLOCK (The time appears.)
l v
l Dimmer On (The display dims.)

The original display is restored when you:
—Turn the unit off.
—Select another source.
Face the remote control at the television for the following operations.
Turning the television on/off
Press [SHIFT] r[TVÍ].
Switching the television’s video input mode
Press [SHIFT] r[TV/AV].
Changing channels
Press [SHIFT] r[TV CHX] or [SHIFT]r[TV CHW].
Adjusting the volume
Press [SHIFT] r[TV VOLr] or [SHIFT]r[TV VOLs].
[Note]
Some models cannot be operated by this remote control.
