This selects gamma correction.

This corrects video images shot with the cine
gamma FilmREC mode of the Varicam to images
of film quality (equivalent to Telecine 5 of HD
Gamma Corrector in AJ-GBX27G).

GAMMA2 :
This corrects video images shot with the cine
gamma FilmREC mode of the Varicam to images
of film quality (equivalent to Telecine 6 of HD
Gamma Corrector in AJ-GBX27G).

GAMMA3 :
This converts video images shot with the cine
gamma FilmREC mode of the Varicam into the
Cineon curve appropriate for film recording.
When the VTR operation mode is VV (TAPE) and
720p is displayed in the system format.
However, during cross convert from 720p
> 1080i,
gamma correction is not effective for SD output.
z When “ON” is selected, the GAMMA lamp on the
front panel is on at all times.
z When this unit is turned to OFF, this setting returns
to "OFF." The setting of user default returns to “OFF.”
z This item is not effective for 1394 output.
