Appendix B: Assigning a Fixed IP to your DVR
5 To confirm that the new port number is saved on your system, press the button on the
front panel or remote control to view the System Information

You have now assigned a fixed IP address to your DVR. The DVR will always be assigned the
same IP address, even if the DVR or router is restarted.
If you have already completed router port forwarding, you will need to re-configure your
router to forward the newly selected IP address. If your DVR List includes the local IP
address of your DVR, you will have to update it to use the newly selected IP address.
