6.2.1. Accessing SAFE Hard Drive Configuration

To perform administrative functions such as adding,
modifying or removing users, administrators must open
SAFE Hard Drive Configuration.
1. Windows Users: Select SAFE Hard Drive Configu-
ration from the Start menu. OR click on the SAFE
Hard Drive icon ( ) and select Configure…
Mac Users: Select SAFE Hard Drive Configura-
tion from the Utilities folder in the Applications
folder. OR click on the SAFE Hard Drive icon
( ) and select Configure…
2. Swipe a registered finger to verify that you have ad-
ministrative privileges. (see Fig. 6.2.1.A).
3. If the swipe is successful, the main configuration
screen opens. See Fig. 6.2.1.B.

ImpOrTANT INfO: SAFE Hard Drive
Configuration can also be opened when you have
access to your drive as an administrator. Click on
the lock icon in your Task bar (Windows) or Dock
(Mac) and you will have direct access to the User
Administration window.
TeChNICAl NOTe: By default, the first user
registered on the SAFE Hard Drive is an admin-
istrator.
