1 Lock Slot - This slot is used to connect an anti-
theft chain lock, such as a LaCie Security Lock.
2 Drive Stand Groove - This groove is used for
attaching your d2 SAFE to the drive stand.
3 On/Off/Auto Power Switch - The auto
position allows the drive to be powered on and
off automatically with your computer. This
feature also allows the drive to manage power
consumption. If the system’s power fan supports
it, the LaCie d2 SAFE Hard Drive will spin
down while in power save mode. The d2 SAFE
Hard Drive will then take several seconds to
spin up to full power.
