Once you touch the button on the camera’s LCD screen, the DVDirect
detects the connected camera and selects USB as the input source
automatically. [Ready] appears in the display window, indicating that the
DVDirect is ready to record.
Note
Depending on the DVD camcorder you are using, the above USB SELECT screen may
not appear automatically and settings configuration for USB connection may be required
beforehand. Refer to the section on connecting to computers in the operating instructions
for your camcorder when configuring settings on the camcorder.

Press
< or , to switch the recording mode.
Pressing
< or , switches the recording mode displayed in the message
display area of the display window. For Consolidation Recording, press
< or , until [CONSOLIDATE] displays.

Press the
(Record) button to start recording.
During recording, the progress appears in the display window.
Recording automatically stops and the
(Record) button dims.
Hint
To consolidate the video contents of another 8-cm disc onto the current disc, replace the
8-cm disc in the DVD camcorder with the other 8-cm disc, and rpress the
(Record)
button on the DVDirect.
