To.align.the.miter.slot.parallel.to.the.bandsaw.blade,.
do.these.steps:
1. Make sure that the blade is correctly tensioned
(refer to
Page.17) and is tracking properly (refer to
Page.14).
2. DISCONNECT BANDSAW FROM POWER!
3. Place an accurate straightedge along the blade. The
straightedge should lightly touch both the front and
back of the blade without resting on a tooth (see
Figure.21). Take care not to move the blade in this
step.
4. Use a fine ruler to gauge the distance between the
blade and the miter slot. The distance you measure
should be the same at both the front and back ends
of the miter slot.
— If the measurements at the front and back ends of
the miter slot are the same, no adjustments are
necessary.
— If the measurements are not the same, continue
with
Step.5.
5. Loosen the six trunnion bolts that secure the
trunnions to the table (see
Figure.22).
6. Adjust the table as needed until the distance
between the blade and miter slot is equal at both
ends, as measured in
Step.4.
7. Tighten the trunnion bolts to secure the setting.
