support.

Symptom Settlement
The display is
colored in green or
purple. Select the correct input by pressing the
INPUT key.
The black bars
appear at the upper
and lower positions
of the picture. When the signal aspect ratio is different
from that of the LCD panel, the black
bars appear. This is not a failure of the
unit.
The key on the front
panel do not work. The key protection function works. The
key inhibit function can be set in the
KEY INHIBIT menu and REMOTE
menu.
Set as follows.
When “KEY INHIBIT” is set to
“ON”: Set to “OFF”.
When “SERIAL REMOTE” is set to
“RMT ON”: Set to “RMT OFF” or
“RMT & LCL”.
When “KEY INHIBIT” and
“SERIAL REMOTE” are set to
“ON”: Set “KEY INHIBIT” to “OFF”
and then “SERIAL REMOTE” to
“RMT OFF” or “RMT & LCL”.
The image is not
displayed on the
monitor. After confirming the connections and
the settings in the INPUT SELECT
menu (on page 25), select the correct
input by pressing the INPUT key.
The image is
disturbed. Select “EXT” or “INT” correctly in the
“SYNC” setting of the USER CONFIG
menu (on page 22).
The “FAN ERROR”
message is displayed. The fan for cooling the unit does not
work.
Turn off the power and contact an
authorized Sony dealer.
