Place the CLIE handheld on the cradle, so that your
computer recognizes the CLIE handheld.

Press the HotSync button on the cradle.
The “USB Driver Installation Wizard” appears and the driver is
installed. Follow the instructions on the screen.
The driver installation screen appears. Follow the instructions on the
screen to install the driver.
When the installation is finished, you can synchronize your data
between the CLIE handheld and your computer (HotSync).
Note
Do not simply copy the Palm Desktop for Sony software files to your computer’s hard
disk. You must use the installer to place the files in their proper locations and to
decompress them.
