Toner cartridge-related messages

Install Toner
The toner cartridge is installed
improperly, or not installed.
Reinstall the toner cartridge two or three times. If the problem persists, the toner
cartridge is not being detected. Please contact the service representatives.
Invalid Toner
The toner cartridge you have
installed is not for your printer.
Install a Samsung-genuine toner cartridge, designed for your printer.
Toner Low
Small amount of toner is left in the
cartridge. The estimated cartridge
life

a. Estimated cartridge life means the expected or estimated toner cartridge life, which indicates the average capacity of print-outs and is designed pursuant to ISO/OEC 19752.
The number of pages may be affected by operating environment, printing interval, media type, and media size.
Prepare a new cartridge for replacement. You may temporarily increase the printing quality
by redistributing the toner.(See page 8.4.)
NonGenuine Toner
Stop
The toner cartridge installed is not
a genuine cartridge.
You can select either Stop or Continue. If you do not select any, the printer will work as
Stop is selected.
If you select Stop, you cannot print until the genuine cartridge is installed. However, you
can still print any kind of reports.
If you select Continue, you can keep printing but the quality cannot be guaranteed, and the
product support is no longer provided.
If you want to change the selection, turn the printer off and on to have this message appear
again, and then re-select Stop or Continue.
NonGenuine Toner
Replace Toner1
The toner cartridge installed is not
a genuine cartridge.
This message appears when you selected Stop at the NonGenuine Toner prompt.
Install the genuine toner cartridge.
NonGenuine Toner

Install the genuine toner cartridge.
Toner Low

Replace the toner cartridge for the best print quality when this message appears. Using a
cartridge beyond this stage can result in printing quality issues. (See page 8.5.)
Caution
Samsung does not recommend using non-genuine Samsung toner cartridge such
as refilled or remanufactured. Samsung cannot guarantee non-genuine Samsung
toner cartridge's quality. Service or repair required as a result of using non-genuine
Samsung toner cartridges will not be covered under the machine warranty.
You can configure not to see the Toner Low Replace Toner message.(See page 8.4.)
