MAKE CONNECTIONS

For HR-J745EK owners...
Connect the camcorder’s AUDIO/VIDEO OUT
connectors to the recorder’s front panel AUDIO/VIDEO
input connectors.
● When using a monaural camcorder, connect its
AUDIO OUT connector to the AUDIO L input
connector on your recorder.
● When a Master Edit Control-equipped JVC camcorder
is used, the camcorder is capable of controlling the
recorder. Refer to the camcorder’s instruction manual
for operating procedure.
For HR-J249EK owners...
Connect the camcorder's AUDIO/VIDEO OUT
connectors to the recorder's rear panel AV2 IN or AV1
IN/OUT connectors via the optional cable adapter.
● When using a Hi-Fi camcorder, connect its AUDIO
OUT L connector to the recorder's rear panel AV2 IN or
AV1 IN/OUT connectors via the optional cable adapter.

For HR-J745EK owners...
Press NUMBER key “0” and/or TV PROG. so that “F-
AU” appears in place of a preset position number.
For HR-J249EK owners...
Press the NUMBER key "0" and/or TV PROG. to select
the appropriate input mode depending on the connec-
tor being used; "AU-1" for the AV1 IN/OUT connector,
or "AU-2" for the AV2 IN connector.
