30 Rental Playback, Zero Return
Rental Playback
This function improves the picture quality of worn videotapes.
1 Press MENU. Press PLAY/▲ or STOP/▼ to
select USER’S SET UP. Then, press F.FWD/B.
2 Press PLAY/▲ or STOP/▼ to select RENTAL.
Press F.FWD/B or REW/s until ON appears.
To cancel Rental Play, choose OFF.
3 Press MENU to remove the menu.
4 Press PLAY to start playback. RENTAL PLAY B
appears briefly every time you start playback while
RENTAL is ON.
• The TV/VCR retains the Rental
setting if the power fails or you
turn off the TV/VCR.

Zero Return
Set the tape counter to zero at a location you want to reach
later.
1 Play, rewind, or fast forward the tape to the location
you would like to refer to later. Press STOP/▼ to
stop the tape.
2 Press RESET to set the counter to 0:00:00.
3 To return to this point, press MENU. Press
PLAY/▲ or STOP/▼ to select ZERO RETURN.
Then, press F.FWD/B.
The tape counter will appear on the screen. When the
tape reaches the point at which you set the counter to
zero, the tape will stop. Press PLAY/▲ to watch the
tape.
