Note: The text mode you select remains active until you
change it by selecting another mode.
Use Alpha Method
This is the standard mode for entering text on your phone.
Press M from any text entry screen and select the Alpha
menu option.
General Text Entry Rules
Press a number key repeatedly to cycle through its
characters. See the “Character Chart” on page 28.
• If you do not press a key for two seconds, the
character in the block cursor is accepted, and the
cursor moves to the next position.
• The first character of every sentence is capitalized.
Press S down to force the character to lowercase
while it is highlighted by the block cursor.
• Your phone may support multiple languages. You can
switch languages within a message. Press M to
select the text mode and language you want to use.
