Within five seconds, press the F.FWD button until your
desired setting (NORMAL, SOFT or SHARP) appears on
the screen. The setting will disappear from the screen in about
five seconds.
This feature enables you to select the picture quality of a tape.
Make sure:
● The VCR is on and is in VCR position. The VCR/TV light will
appear. If it does not, press the VCR/TV button once.
● There is a tape in the VCR.

During tape playback, press the MENU button until
MENU 1 appears.

Press the PLAY button or the STOP button repeatedly to
choose PICTURE SELECT. Then, press the F.FWD but-
ton. The menu will disappear, and a Picture Select setting will
appear at the bottom of the screen.
• You may only choose PICTURE
SELECT during tape playback.
