Normal Shutdown Procedure
To shutdown the generator use the following procedure:
1. Place both the main, GFCI, and aux. circuit breakers
as shown in Figure 20 to the OFF position.
2. Set the Speed Control Switch to the START/IDLE position
as shown in Figure 22 and let the engine cool for 3-5
minutes with no load applied.
3. Turn the ignition key counter-clockwise to the STOP
position. When the engine has stopped, remove key.
Place key in a safe place where it will not be lost.
4. Inspect entire generator for any damage or loosening of
components that may have occured during operation.
DCA-10SPX4 — GENERATOR SHUT-DOWN PROCEDURES
NEVER stop the engine suddenly except in an emergency.
WARNING - SHUTTING DOWN THE GENERATOR
Emergency Shutdown Procedure
1. Turn the ignition key counter-clockwise to the STOP
position. When the engine has stopped, remove key.
Place key in a safe place where it will not be lost.
2. Place both the main, GFCI, and aux. circuit breakers
as shown in Figure 20 to the OFF position.
