Dynamic IP addresses:

By default, UC-7420/7410 is configured for “static” IP addresses. To configure one or both
LAN ports to request an IP address dynamically, replace static with dhcp and then delete the
address, network, netmask, and broadcast lines.

Default Setting for LAN1

Dynamic Setting using DHCP

iface ixp0 inet static
address

192.168.3.127

network:

192.168.3.0

netmask

255.255.255.0

broadcast

192.168.3.255

iface ixp0 inet dhcp

3. After the boot settings of the LAN interface have been modified, issue the following

command to activate the LAN settings immediately:

#/etc/init.d/networking restart
