to mount a workpiece between centers:
1. locate the center point on both ends of the
workpiece by carefully drawing diagonal lines
from corner to corner. the point of intersec-
tion is the center of the work. Find the center
of round wood stock by using a center finder
instrument.
2. When turning stock with a diameter greater
than 2", remove the corner length edges with
a hand plane or similar operation as shown in
figure 12.
