NEW FURUNO GP37 DGPS/WAAS NAVIGATOR OFFERS GREATER

ACCURACY, DEPENDABILITY

Once again Furuno raises the bar for GPS navigation with the

introduction of the new GP37 DGPS/WAAS receiver. Replacing the GP36, the

GP37 combines a 12 parallel channel GPS receiver with WAAS technology and

proven Differential GPS correction for the ultimate in marine GPS accuracy.

Designed for coastal ships, fishing boats and pleasure craft, the GP37

includes many of the same features that made its predecessor so powerful. It

provides an incredibly accurate position fix of 1-3 meters while taking up a

minimum amount of space. The GP37's highly sensitive combined GPS/H-Field

DGPS “Loop” antenna is protected by a compact, waterproof housing built to

withstand the harshest of marine environments and requires no external ground

connection. Its display features include an impressive memory capability of 999

waypoints, 50 routes and 1,000 points for ships track. Simple, one-touch

waypoint entry and customizable data displays allow for unrivaled ease of use

in perhaps the most powerful GPS navigator in its class.

The GP37 offers a unique automatic “Best Fix” mode where DGPS,

WAAS, and regular GPS is utilized depending on signal availability. As the

WAAS system is still currently under development, there is no guarantee of

accuracy, integrity, continuity or availability of the WAAS signal. For that reason,

the GP37 operates with DGPS as the default setting in the auto “Best Fix”

selection mode. In this mode, if the DGPS signal cannot be received for any

reason, the WAAS mode is automatically selected. Manual selection for WAAS

or DGPS corrections is also possible.

The GP37's new 4.5" Ultra-High Contrast Silver Bright display is

designed to be easily viewed in shade as well as direct sunlight. Six display

modes

presented in both graphical and alphanumeric form include Plotter, Steering,
