Power Disconnection
A unit with or without ON-OFF switches will have power supplied to the unit whenever the
power cord is inserted into the power source; however, the unit is operational only when the
ON-OFF switch is in the ON position . Unplug the power cord to disconnect the main power for
all units .
FOR YOUR SAFETY PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TEXT CAREFULLY
This appliance is supplied with a moulded three pin main plug for your safety and convenience .
A 6 amp (CAE-100W) and 1 .5 amp (CAE-50W, CAE-20W, IR-2007) fuse is fitted in this main plug .
If the fuse needs to be replaced, please ensure that the replacement fuse has a rating of 6 amp
(CAE-100W) and 1 .5 amp (CAE-50W, CAE-20W, IR-2007) and it is approved by the Association of
Short-Circuit Testing Authorities (ASTA) or BSI standards to BS1362 .
Check for the ASTA mark or the BSI mark on the body of the fuse . If the plug contains a removable
fuse cover, you must ensure that it is refitted when the fuse is replaced . If you lose the fuse
cover, the plug must not be used until a replacement cover is obtained .
IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKET OUTLET IN YOUR HOME/
CLASSROOM THEN THE FUSE SHOULD BE REMOVED AND THE PLUG CUT OFF AND
DISPOSED OF SAFELY. THERE IS A DANGER OF SEVERE ELECTRICAL SHOCK IF THE CUT
OFF PLUG IS INSERTED INTO ANY 13 AMP SOCKET.
If a new plug is to be fitted please observe the wiring code as shown below . If in any doubt,
consult a qualified electrician .
WARNING: This apparatus must be earthed .
IMPORTANT:
The wires in this main lead are colored in accordance with the following code:
Green and Yellow: Earth
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
As the colors of the wire in the main lead of the unit may not correspond with the colored
markings identifying the terminals in the plug, proceed as follows:
