21. The LPE front fascia grille insert should
be installed next. Notice the four (4) studs on the
back of the insert, these will secure behind the
grille with the supplied four (4) nuts and special
tabbed washers.
22. Insert the bolts on the fifth slot up on the
GM Heritage grille.
NOTE: Before installing the LPE shield and
emblem, the LPE fiberglass grill insert must be
painted but the carbon fiber grille insert does not.
23. Using the supplied tab washers and M6
X 1 mm nuts, secure the LPE grille insert by
tightening them down with a 10 mm socket and
ratchet.
NOTE: Take care when tightening the 10 mm
nuts to not overtighten them.
24. This illustration shows the placement of
the LPE shield and emblem that are to be placed
on the grille insert after it has been painted.
These locations are the same for the carbon fiber
insert as well.
