Turning On the Auto Receiving Mode

You may turn the unit on from a remote phone using any telephone.

Call your unit, and

wait for 15 rings.

•The unit will answer.

After hearing the OGM or the beep tones, then
hang up.

•If the FUNCTION selector is set to the ANS/FAX

position, the OGM will be heard.

•If the FUNCTION selector is set to the FAX position,

you will hear several beeps (answering carrier tone).

NOTE:

If you hear 6 beep tones after your OGM, the tape is full. Reset the tape. Refer to the procedure of “Resetting Tape for
Future Messages” on page 2-12.
