2. There are four panels which make up the Light Trap Fan
Unit. Locate and identify these panels.
3. The Top and Bottom panels each have four bent edges. The
Bottom panel can be identified by ‘knock-out’ perforations at
two corners. These ‘knock-outs’ are for the power cables
once the assembly is complete.
4. The remaining two panels are the Side panels, each having
two bent edges. Determine the correct placement of the
Side panels by matching the hole patterns of the Side panels
to the hole patterns in the Top as shown in Figure 5.
5. Attach the Side panels to the respective sides of the fan by
using 1/4" x 3/8” bolts provided, as shown in Figure 5. Note
that these bolts go through the holes which are nonadjacent
to an edge of the Side panel.
6. Refer to Figure 6. Attach the two metal stops to the Top and
Bottom panels, respectively. Then add the Top and Bottom
panels to the assembly.
7. Refer to Figure 7. Connect sides with 1/4" x 3/8” bolts
provided.
INSTALLING THE PROP
1. Refer to Figure 8. Rotate the Light Trap Fan unit onto its
Bottom.

of the prop shaft. Orient the prop as shown, with the set
screw to the inside of the prop, and align the the prop hub
with the keyed shaft. Slide the prop onto the shaft.
3. Tighten the set screw on the prop hub, making sure that the
set screw contacts the metal key. The recommended torque
of the prop set screw is 100 In. Lbs. Min.
INSTALLING THE SCREEN
1. Refer to Figure 9. Insert the screen inside the edges of the
unit. This may require puckering the screen slightly to fit
through the opening.
2. After placing the screen inside the unit, pull the screen tightly
against the edges. Use wire pliers to firmly bend the retainer
clips inward to secure the screen in place.
