Belt Tensioner Maintenance

48" Funnel Flow Fan

Warning!

Disconnect All Electrical Power To Fan Before Performing Maintenance On

Belt Tensioner. Always Double Check Power Sources.

NOTE: Refer To Reverse Side Of This Sheet For Trouble-Shooting Guide

Tools Required:

7/16 in. (11 mm) socket

7/16 in. (11 mm) wrench

To Replace Tensioner:

1. Disconnect electrical power to fan.

2. Remove fan belt from motor & pulley.

3. Remove screws & nuts holding old belt

tensioner. Remove old belt tensioner.

4. Align the six holes of new belt tensioner

with attachment holes of support brace.

5. Fasten belt tensioner to support brace

with screws (1004-1402) & lock nuts
(1001-1446).

6. Use straight edge. Align prop pulley with

pulley on belt tensioner.

7. Use straight edge. Align motor & prop

pulleys with pulley on belt tensioner.

8. Tighten set screws on pulleys.

Recommended torque settings: Prop
pulley 110 In. Lb. Max.; Motor pulley 110
In. Lb. Min.

9. Roll fan belt onto pulleys.

10. Replacement of belt tensioner complete.

support brace.
