Troubleshooting
The live image
on the LCD looks
brighter than it
should be.
The low light preview setting is selected.
This setting is used to display a dark scene
more brightly on the LCD to help you frame
the shot. Use the setting to take a dark pic-
ture, or restore the normal preview setting.
You have selected an incorrect advanced
exposure setting.
If the

displayed, adjust the exposure setting or set
it to automatic.
The built-in flash
doesn’t work.
The flash is off. Check the flash setting.
The wrong date
and/or time are
displayed.
The date and time are incorrectly set. Set
the correct date and time.
The recorded
image is blurry.
The subject moved while you were taking
the picture. Hold the camera steady and take
the picture again.
You moved the camera while you were tak-
ing the picture. Take the picture again and
hold the camera steady as you depress the
shutter button.
You used the wrong focus setting.
Make
sure the subject’s distance from the lens and
the focus setting match. The flash illuminates
subjects up to a distance of only about 10
feet (2.6 m).
