Logging into the RF Client
To log into the client:
•
You must enter a valid DMS Check In-Out User ID and/or password
(depending on your security settings in the workstation application)
•
The DMS RF Server must be running
•
The Telnet option cannot be marked in the RF Server options form.
Security
DMS Check In-Out RF Server permits user tasks as defined in the DMS
Check In-Out workstation application. The tasks applicable to DMS Check
In-Out RF include:
•
Consumable and Check-out Item Inventory Moves
•
Consumable and Check-out Item Inventory Counts
•
Item Check In and Check Out
•
Kit Check Out Item Building and Maintenance
•
Check-out Item Retire
•
Stock Issues, Stock Receipts, and Stock Returns
Only the menu options that the user is authorized to perform are displayed
on the portable device.
RF Client Conventions
The RF Client operation is consistent throughout the application. Unless
detailed at the bottom of the RF Client screen, the keystroke conventions
apply to all RF client screens. Following is a list of these conventions.
•
<ENTER> Key: The <ENTER> key moves forward through each
screen in the process. On RF client screens requiring multiple entries
the <ENTER> key moves though each prompt on the screen. If the
operator presses enter on the last prompt it terminates the screen and
moves to the next RF client screen.
