20.8 Replace all clean out panels. Install new gaskets each time these panels are
removed. Replace brass nuts and washers if needed. Install burner replacing
the flange gasket. Caution: Do not turn on power to the unit at this point.
20.9 Remove the chimney connector from the heater and clean all ash from the
rear of the heat exchanger (see below). Inspect chimney connector replace if
needed. When replacing chimney connector secure it the furnace with a
minimum of 3 sheet metal screws. Clean and lubricate hinge pins on the
barometric damper. Caution: When cleaning the combustion chamber/heat
exchanger protective clothing must be worn.
20.10 After replacing the chimney, and all clean out panels and cabinet doors
reconnect all power at the main breaker box. Turn the thermostat to its lowest
setting. Make sure the red light is illuminated on the preheater switch at the
rear of the burner. Wait 10 minutes for the preheaters to come up to
temperature before firing the heater.
Do not operate your furnace with clean out panels or cabinet panels
removed.
